This is a reproduction of Pierre-Auguste Cot’s masterpiece, The Storm of 1880. This was a commissioned work instigated by one of Cot’s patrons. Upon its exhibition there was great speculation as to the subjects and the story. The original masterpiece is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
