This is a reproduction of Christian Meyer Ross’s “In the Sculptor’s Studio”. Ross’ work captures the intensity of the sculptor’s work and is a beautiful capture of the passion and intensity which yields work of a divine nature. The original painting is in a private collection.

Greco-Roman / Statuary / Vatican - 1 year ago - troycapc
A reproduction of "Silenus with Infant Dionysus" in the Vatican Museums. This is a tender rendering of the Greek mythological protector and follower of the God of Wine. This representation of the statue is from my photograph from my recent trip to Rome.
